25 miles to the west of Almeria, Almerimar is a beautiful resort built around the original harbour and flanked on both sides by natural parks and unspoilt beaches. The town is maintained to the highest of standards, roads are lined with palm trees and flora. Almerimar is bursting with local pride and during the summer months the whole town indulges in fairs and family entertainment such as, beach parties and offers a warm welcome for all to join in.

The golf course is adjacent to the marina which overlooks the original harbour where traditional Spanish fishing boats work as they have done for many years. With the blue flag award winning beach only metres away from the marina and its 18 hole championship golf course, Almerimar is a delightful resort set amidst some of Spain's finest scenery highlighted by a backdrop of the Sierra Nevada snow capped mountains.

Laguna Beach is a residential complex with excellent services making this a truly exclusive place to live or holiday. Even the smallest details have been attended too with authentic passion. From your front door to the beach front it takes two minutes and from there the harbour, bars, restaurants and shops in the town of Almerimar are a stroll along the promenade which would take approximately 20 minutes, 5 minute bike ride or 2 minutes in a car.

Your Facilities

The facilities available at Laguna Beach are second to none. There are 4 outdoor swimming pools and a baby pool available, the larger pool also has pool bar facilities including tapas. You will also find at your disposal tennis courts, Turkish baths, Jacuzzi, gymnasium.

There is a smaller pool available for children and the complex also has children’s play areas, with climbing frames, swings and slides.

Although the resort and apartment is not specifically designed for disabled access, there are ramps and lift access to the apartment and also lift access to and from the car park.

Laguna Beach is built around its own natural salt water lake and has created its own private beach, perfect for wading into those shallow waters and a safe environment for children. The lake also facilitates various water sporting activities, such as sailing and canoeing, however, please note that this does not include any motorised crafts so you are rest assured of peace and quiet in this picturesque location.

Golf

Almerimar Golf Course and Club: The golf course is located in the Almerimar Tourist Complex and was opened in 1976. Designed by Kirby-Player and Associates, it is a mature championship golf course surrounded by beautiful landscapes thanks to the gardens and trees of the Complex and sea views scenery from the neighbouring Mediterranean Ocean. Included are five holes featuring water, the most challenging being an attractive island green on the 12th hole, giving a tee-shot over 100 metres of water. The course has broad and shaded fairways surrounded by the exuberant complex vegetation adding difficulty to approaching the greens. The Club has a splendid bar and restaurant service, swimming pool, tennis courts and buggies, clubs and carts to hire. It is under the chairmanship of Mr. Takeyuki Kawaguchi, and is managed by D. Pedro Zamarra with the technical help of Course Pro Juan Parrón.

With the blue flag award winning beach only metres away from the marina and its 18 hole championship golf course, Almerimar is a delightful resort set amidst some of Spain's finest scenery highlighted by a backdrop of the Sierra Nevada snow capped mountains. The climate is the best in Spain, with average temperatures of 28 degrees centigrade during the summer and only 25mm of rainfall per year. Local activities include Diving, Sailing, Boat Trips, Fishing, Horse Riding, a Water Park (in Roquetas De Mar) and just outside Almerimar is a shopping centre (including a supermarket), an excellent Tourist Information Centre and Cinema.

In the summer months, those who fancy a trip around the bay can usually find a suitable vessel to take them and those who prefer to stay on dry land will find that there is plenty to enjoy within the confines of the marina, with bars, restaurants, shops, salons and even a gymnasium for those who want to keep fit. The modern marina is full of various craft shops and is where one can enjoy a drink in a bar or a good meal in a restaurant, perhaps sampling the local fisherman's catch. As anywhere abroad you will find numerous bars around the marina, all serving cheap drinks till the early hours, don't be fooled though, the bars, like the restaurants are for relaxing and unwinding. However, if you want it, you can find it, there are a few discos and lively bars but not enough to spoil the peace and relaxation of the marina.
